Nemetschek Group has expanded its Southeast Asia presence through 10 partnerships in the Philippines and Vietnam, linking industry, professional bodies and education across two construction markets.

The agreements are intended to address fragmentation in how project information is created and managed across the building lifecycle, while also building digital skills among professionals and students.

In the Philippines, the expansion covers live project work, professional development and architectural education. A central collaboration is with Aidea on a healthcare project involving St. Luke's Medical Centre.

Aidea is using several tools from Nemetschek's software portfolio in its workflows, including Archicad for architectural design, ALLPLAN for structural detailing, Solibri for quality checking, dRofus for project programming, Bluebeam for communication and documentation, RISA for engineering workflows, and dTwin for capturing asset information for facilities management.

Jonathan Ng, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Nemetschek Group, said the regional approach focuses on both current project delivery and longer-term workforce needs.

"Digital transformation in the built environment is ultimately about how information moves between disciplines, between technologies and across the lifecycle of a building," said Jonathan Ng, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Nemetschek Group.

"Firms need interoperable workflows that work on real projects, while professionals entering the industry need to understand how digital information is structured, exchanged and used. What we are building across Southeast Asia reflects those two sides of the transition. In the Philippines, we are working with industry to connect more of the project lifecycle. In Vietnam, we are engaging the education sector around the capabilities future professionals will need. They are different interventions, but they address the same underlying shift towards a more connected built environment."

Philippines focus

Beyond Aidea, Nemetschek is expanding its ties with the architectural sector in the Philippines through collaborations with the Philippine Institute of Architects, the United Architects of the Philippines - Makati CBD Chapter, and the University of Mindanao.

These engagements cover BIM and openBIM adoption, professional development, knowledge exchange and architectural education. They are part of a broader effort to connect information across design, construction and operations, rather than limit digital tools to one stage of a project.

Aidea said the collaboration builds on a relationship with Nemetschek that goes back more than two decades.

"Over the years, we have seen that digital transformation goes far beyond architects using BIM. We want our design process to be highly collaborative, with different disciplines able to work together more seamlessly, while also extending our involvement beyond design into the wider lifecycle of the building," said Ar. Abelardo 'Jojo' Tolentino Jr., President, Aidea.

"Our relationship with the Nemetschek Group goes back more than 20 years. This collaboration gives us an opportunity to bring different technologies together on a significant project, test new ways of working and continue evolving how we deliver projects for our clients."

Vietnam links

In Vietnam, Nemetschek's push is centred on education and training as construction projects become more model-based and data-driven. Future architects and engineers will need to understand not only software tools, but also how digital information is structured, exchanged and checked across disciplines.

Its current engagements span six institutions across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai: Vietnamese-German University, Van Lang University, Lac Hong University, Ho Chi Minh City College of Architecture and Construction, Hanoi Architectural University, and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.

A three-year collaboration with Hanoi Architectural University is a key part of that effort. The arrangement provides educational access to selected Nemetschek software, including Archicad, ALLPLAN, Solibri, Vectorworks and Bluebeam. It also covers curriculum development, student internships, industry attachments for lecturers, and jointly organised forums, seminars and workshops.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Anh, Rector, Hanoi Architectural University, said the partnership is designed to bring professional practice more directly into teaching.

"The next generation of built environment professionals will need more than proficiency in individual software tools," said Vu Ngoc Anh.

"They will need to understand how digital information is created, exchanged and used across disciplines and throughout a project's lifecycle. Our collaboration with Nemetschek Group will help us bring more of that industry context into education and give students and faculty greater exposure to the workflows shaping professional practice."

The Philippines and Vietnam partnerships add to Nemetschek's broader Southeast Asia expansion, which has also included work with the Institute of Technical Education and Singapore Polytechnic in Singapore around AI, BIM and digital delivery. Nemetschek reported revenue of EUR 1.19 billion and EBITDA of EUR 371.1 million in 2025.
